Venue : Kallang Netball Centre

Date : 10 November (Wed)

Time : 8.00 to 12.00pm

Total number of games played : 7

Participating schools : Springfield Sec, Bedok Town Sec, Katong Convent, Anglican High, Dunman High, Bartley Sec and Yio Chu Kang Secondary School. (Thank you for having us in the fun carnival :D!)

Format of play : Round Robin, 2 halves of ten minutes

The games were played back to back and it was a test of the girls' stamina and mental strength. Not easy but the girls pulled through and learnt a lot and fostered friendships at the end of the carnival.

It's been a long long time since we touch base in this netball blog..its time to bring it to life :P Haha !!!

Exam has started this week for all students in YCK, this is a perIod of high anxiety for all of you. Your normal fun rituals are interrupted as you abandon your favourite pursuits like hanging out late with your friends or shorten your time to play N E T B A L L after school. I hope all of you have not gotten too stressed out during this period :P

Well, no use lamenting on your plight during this exam period. Make sure you take good care of yourself :D I know some of you may feel that you are not well-prepared for the End of Year exam, do challenge yourself to study hard and keep positive thoughts in wanting to achieve better results :)

Do not sleep less than you normally do in case it robs you of your stored memory of your subject contents...

Determine your time you can study best and follow your plan :D

See this exam as a great chance for success :0) All of you are going to study and perform to your best capacity!!!

ok this is my first time typing a post. and thanks cgoh for teaching me how to use blogger (: LOL. ok back to the main point. im sure everyone in the team is feeling damn low now. though we were so near to top 4 but yet, it seemed so far now, but we never lost. the fight we gave to st.nicks, it all just shows that YCK is not just an ordinary school which people looked down in. we went in to the court telling ourselves that we will and must give our best and walk out of the court without any regrets. i'm sure most or rather all of us felt this way after the game. no one should blame themselves or others because we are a team! and i believe YCK netball spirit is better than st.nicks! the truth may be saddening BUT those hard work we had all put into, those trainings under the hot sun+++ suicides run (esp in northland), were NEVER went into the drains. so ya, cheer up girls, IT'S NOT THE END! the dark clouds wont be there forever, eventually the sun will still continue to shine! in YCK netball dictionary, there's never an "I" but rather a "we". remember, you are never alone! to me, ALL of us played their best. No one gave st.nicks an easy way out.

thanks for EVERYTHING. it's you who brought us to this level. proving to everyone that YCK is not a small fry. those hard work you'd put in, to nurture us to a better player, we'd all seen it and it's greatly appreciated.

BLOOD TEST RESULT.

This is bloody scary when I found out one of our teammates result after she went for her blood test.

Florence Liow Ching Mei belongs to a blood group called the F group. I know.. I know.. F group?! But there's only B+(super common. I'm one of the horrendous ppl who belong here. LOL.) or B-, O(rare species) or AB+(super rare!). I bet you guys know this but if you dont know, (for those who don't know that is really, really.. sad.. Haha.) now you know. HALLELUJAH! (for you..) HAHA.

F is the FREAK GROUP which have blue colour as their blood! HAHA. I know. Isn't it depressing? A BEAUTY LIKE FLORENCE BELONGING TO A FREAK GROUP?! LOL. But there's still advantages of belonging to an F group, ya know.

& I know that reptiles also have blue blood too. So, our friend here is actually an amphibian in disguise! No wonder she's free of pimples & zits or acnes.
